5 Types of Scissor Lifts
A scissor lift provides a stable and safe platform from which workers and equipment may be easily lifted to great heights. Every scissor lift platform comes with a safety device that protects employees from falling or other mishaps. Scissor lifts are self-contained, safer than ladders, and may help you save time and money on the job site. They can support the weight of four persons and reach heights of up to 18 metres.

Hydraulic Scissor
Lifts
Hydraulic scissor lifts may be
utilised both indoors and outdoors. Hydraulic scissor lifts are powered by
electric motors or compressed air. These hydraulic machines work by pushing
liquid from one cylinder to the next. The lift is pushed upwards as the liquid
enters the other cylinder, and the same is true when the lift is lowered. Warehouses,
building sites, and infrastructure projects all employ hydraulic scissor lifts.
Diesel Scissor Lifts
Diesel scissor lifts are noisy
equipment that run on standard diesel fuel. Diesel scissor lifts are best
utilised in outdoor construction where there is room for ventilation and the
noise will not disturb other employees because they exhaust fumes into the
environment and are noisy. Large platforms are common on diesel equipment,
which are handy for working in outside environments.
Electric Scissor
Lifts
Instead of burning gasoline, an
electric scissor lift uses an electric battery. Electric scissor lifts emit no
fumes and generate no loud noises, making them ideal for use in confined
spaces. These machines are also smaller, less cumbersome, and have narrower
platforms, allowing them to work in tighter locations. Scissor lifts for indoor
use include non-marking tyres to prevent floor damage.
Rough Terrain ScissorLifts
The rough terrain scissor lift is
a popular scissor lift that has increased power for increased productivity in
tough outdoor jobsites. In scissor lifts, internal combustion engines such as
diesel, petrol, or gas are often employed. Increased productivity provides the
traction and speed that big construction sites demand. Are you on the fence
about whether or not you need a tough terrain scissor lift? Check out our blog
post on what constitutes tough terrain for scissor lifts.
