Scissor Lift
A scissor lift is a mechanical device that lifts a platform
to a desired height. It is used in mechanical industries for material movement
and to gain access to high areas. There are two major categories of scissor
lifts, which are floor mounted or pit mounted.
Floor mounted scissor lifts are ideal for vertical material
movement and can be used on floors that are flat or uneven. They can also be
used as access platforms in confined spaces, like warehouses and factories. Pit
mounted scissor lifts are installed into the ground and can reach heights of up
to 15 meters. Both types of scissor lifts are completely hydraulically
operated, have safety limit switches and fall arrestors for occupational safety
and have an easy-to-use control panel with buttons and indicators that operate
automatically when they're pressed by the operator while standing on the
platform itself (no need for any other person working with you!).
Scissor lifts provide an economic solution to lifting
problems as they reduce floor space required when compared with other types of
lifts such as forklift trucks or pallet trucks which require more room around
them due to their size - this means less time spent
